Flipkart which turned into Flopkart on its #BigBillionDay

I have been a Flipkart customer for quite sometime now. It has been a blended pack of experience till date. There were several times when my several times when my order got replaced due to a defective piece and I had to browse through other sources.

Flipkart have been promoting this day which was quite impressive. because only just recently I’d heard WSRetail (Flipkart’s holding company) had managed a $1 billion VC funding round. It was a first for an Indian company (even though technically now WSRetail is a Singapore company).

As usual the expectation got high as Diwali approaching every online store is giving heavy sale. My friend bought a Croc shoes half its original price. And according to the ads Flipkart #BigBillionDay were to give away 90% off.

On the #BigBillionDay the deals “Sold Out” even before the scheduled time for the deals. If you managed to get an item in stock it would show 505 or 404.

I noticed few item have its price increased, which was later confirmed by Social Media. Mark-up prices were raised, only to be ‘discounted’ to a price close to market rates. You can read all about them here https://twitter.com/hashtag/thebigbillionday

Social Media on Big Billion Day

Social Media on Big Billion Day

Overall the bigger than World Cup event the Big Billion Day was a troll for the Billion people and a debacle of a billion indian dreams.

Site like Entecity featured: “Flipkart sold-out their validity with their ‘Enormous Billion Day’ deal!” – and it was presumably slam against.

Hindustan times cited Sandeep Komaravelly, Senior VP (Marketing) at Snapdeal.com “that there has been a few news about e-business destinations expanding the expense and cutting it down to unique rates with rebates tossed in. “At the same time the computerized client is brilliant, with such a variety of social locales, it will be hard to force a downy over their eyes, they will transparent any such endeavor.”

At the same time most likely the most harm to Flipkart’s #bigbillionday must have been carried out by this site: Mission Sharing Knowledge which guaranteed that “Flipkart’s The Big Billion Day – an evaluating SCAM?”

It happens to delineate in point of interest of how the costs were lifted a couple of days before giving rebates on #bigbillionday which Sandeep from Snapdeal affirms numerous ecommerce organizations do.

So if the #bigbillionday was wanted to be possessed by Flipkart the night should unquestionably go to Amazon India for their splendid troll as Amazon purchased over the area name http://bigbillionday.com which redirects to http://amazon.in and trolled Flipkart BIGTIME.
